Who Cares??? ..You!
  • This week, I was part of a great event for Vh1's Save The Music -  Andy Grammar and Colbie Calait performed live at the Sunset Marquis in Hollywood as part of the Songrwriter's Series.  Here's why we all love the cause so much!

VH1's Save The Music is a non-profit organization helping to restore Music Education in public schools across the country!  I learned a LOT through my extra-curricular involvement in the sports, arts, and MUSIC!  If you can't tell from my choice of careers, music continues to influence me today, and it is an essential part of any child's education!

Save The Music has helped contribute over $47 million in new musical instruments to 1,750 public schools around the US which have impacted the lives of over 1.6 million children.

See what YOU can do to ensure that music continues to be a part of every child's education! They all deserve the opportunities that we had, and you could be helping empower our next superstars! LET THE MUSIC PLAY!

Carter

  • Carter - Tiptoe-ing across hardwood floors in Heaven ;c)

Super sad, and I miss my buddy...Carter ended up with doggy lymphoma this summer, and put up an awesome fight.  When it become too much, it happened quickly, and I'm thinking he had one of the best doggy-lives ever!  He was happy right up to the last day.

He may be up in Heaven with his cone on, getting the rundown on what really causes thunderstorms (see video below haha):

This weekend was a bonanza of baby births! Saturday, Jay-Z and Beyonce brought their daughter Blue Ivy (Carter) into the world! To commemorate the momentous event, Hova and Pharrell released Jay's new track "Glory," today!

**As he raps about the birth of baby Blue, he also apparently reveals that Beyonce suffered a miscarriage in the past

AND...a couple of my favorite people on earth gave birth to a baby boy (Blue's future hubby?). Congratulations to Katie and Kurtis on the birth of Kingston, last night!

**Maybe its cuz I watched 8 Mile during the snowboarding adventure, yesterday, but I think the mic & the beat are to YOU, Kurtis...where's your baby rebuttal rap??

Katy Perry reportedly let Russell Brand handle the divorce-filing, because her family is extremely religious (her parents are pastors) and believes strongly in the sanctity of marriage.
*This after their religious daughter broke out with "I Kissed A Girl" and then recently "went streaking in the park and had a menage a trois"

Whether you are a religious type or not, I think we can all say that the Parents Perry (who are actually Hudsons..) are finding the silver lining to a tough experience! This week, they've been "No commenting" the media, but have been speaking openly at churches around the country.

In fact, there's even a b.a. trailer to invite you to their sermons (Georgia this weekend):

Katy Perry has been in the news a lot lately for relationship strife...and maybe the old "wife left me, truck broke down, dog ran away" adage seeped into her music..

JK - this is actually a demo song from years ago that KP wrote. Its called "Bullet" - and its a country song!

Check out the girl, who used to sing religious music, then Kissed A Girl, and apparently may have had some boots in her closet..

Hopefully Jay-Z is cool with this version, and we see Pitbull pop up at a The Throne show! Check out Pit's crew doing their version of Sean Carter and Kanye West's "****** in Paris"...
