Every year I tell myself I'm gonna quit watching American Idol - seriously..check my blogs from a year ago - and then, even though I know I'm gonna have to re-prioritize ALL my DVR stuff on DirecTV...I watch it. This season doesn't seem to be much different, although it was a little flatter than last year (probably cuz I knew how big of a crush I was gonna have onJennifer Lopez).

To be fair, I actually watched the show while running around doing stuff for work, but I still watched, and am positive I'll watch tomorrow, and then be hooked by the time the LIVE shows happen - I'll probably even vote this year. In case you hadn't re-prioritized all your shows on your DVR...here's what you missed:

Last night was the second award show of the month/year/week..
Wednesday was about what the people thought, last night was about Ricky Gervais's thoughts - AND the Hollywood Foreign Press.

Madonna took a chance to follow Johnny Depp's lead, and got a jab or two back at Ricky, who's thrown a few at his fellow actors. Lots of classy wins this year...(list below, along with moments I missed, too..cuz the Packers were busy learning to hold onto a ball).

Everyone in Wisconsin this weekend just looked like they wanted to be in a quiet place.

But here are some reasons we are excited for next year:

Friday the 13th is one of my favorite days, and I'll hope its lucky for Paige Duke, too...since its the debut of her attempt to find love in Sweet Home Alabama! The show premieres on CMT at "9 eastern, 8 central" according to her (very attractive) southern accent..

Everyone's fairly aware of my commitment issues, and probably guessed that I don't watch The Bachelor much, but this show is TOTALLY intriguing to me! I've always liked southern belles, and as a city boy, its a cool idea!

**The show pits 11 Country Boys and 11 City Boys against each other to try to win Paige's love.
