Chicago Blackhawks fan Frank Miller wanted to show his dedication to the team, so in the spirit of playoff beards, he grew a “playoff lawn.” Miller, who lives in the Chicago suburb of Park Ridge, vowed not to cut his lawn until the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup, and as the playoffs dragged on, his lawn began to resemble a jungle.
Via NBC Chicago:
“I was watching the playoffs one night with my son and hear a lawn mower going off, and I come outside, ‘What are you doing?’ The guy was cutting my lawn with a giant industrial-sized mower, and he said that the city had come and paid him to cut my lawn,” Miller said.
Since the late-night cutting, Miller has been letting his lawn grow, and the Blackhawks keep winning.
