Not going to lie, Rufio's interest in radio came from on person: Zack Morris from "Saved by the Bell." KKTY Bayside was the coolest radio station and Rufio wanted to be just like Zack (what guy didn't!) So after working jobs from fast food to telemarketing he decided to follow that radio dream and enrolled at the Illinois Center for Broadcasting, where he landed an internship at WKSC 103.5 KISS FM. His hard work and dedication during his internship paid off when he got offered a job after graduation as a traffic reporter/producer for Clear Channel Chicago's Total Traffic Network. That eventually led him to "Fox News in the Morning" where he was the traffic producer and fill-in traffic reporter. His Zack Morris dream finally came true when he became an on-air personality for 103.5 KISS FM. You can hear him early Saturdays from 3-6a and Sunday nights from 7-10p. He's also the producer for "Valentine in the Morning" on sister station 93.9 Lite FM and producer for "On-Air with Ryan Seacrest" on Kiss FM. When he's not working, Rufio loves to play video games and catch up on his DVR. You can also find him at his second home, the United Center, because he's the world's BIGGEST Bulls fan!
